To get FUSE syncing with your Higher Logic
communities, blogs, and/or file libraries
there are two steps:
1) Reach out to Higher Logic support via email and2) visit your Higher Logic admin panel and apply some settings.
If you need for FUSE to sync with a
microsite you run within Higher Logic, a
different approach is taken. Please contact
FUSE Support for assistance. Higher Logic
plans to support microsite access via its
latest API at some point in the
future.
Email Higher Logic Support
- Send an email to support@higherlogic.com with
the Subject Enable FUSE System API for
<your_org_name>. Please feel
free to copy FUSE
support on your
message so Team FUSE can step-in and
help if needed and get notifications when
the set up is complete.
- In the body of the message, ask
Higher Logic Support to enable the FUSE
System API Endpoints for
<your_org_name>. They'll
know what to do from here.
If helpful for any reason, FUSE is
happy to send this message on your behalf —
say the word and we'll take care of it with
you copied.
While we wait for Higher Logic's
reply, you can move forward with the next
steps for setting up an OIDC Client.
Apply some settings via Higher Logic Admin
Panel
- Visit the Admin Panel of your Higher Logic instance and navigate to Settings → Integrations → OIDC Authentication.
- Click the
+icon to the right of the OIDC Clients title to launch the setup assistant.
- On the first page of the setup assistant, choose
Advancedfrom the dropdown menu, then clickContinue.
- On the next screen, choose
System Applicationfrom the Client Type dropdown menu and enter aNameand aDescriptionfor the Client (e.g. FUSE), then clickContinue. - The next page displays the Client ID and Client Secret. There’s nothing you need to do here yet — you’ll review this information again later. Click
Continue. - Next, select both
webapiandsystem api accessscopes from the dropdown menu, then clickContinue.
- On the final screen, copy the configuration details to a temporary location to share with FUSE Support in the next step. Critical Note: once you navigate away from this screen by clicking
Finish, you will not be able to view the client_secret again and you'd have to restart the process from Step 1 to generate a new one. - Go to Onetime Secret (or any secure one-time sharing service of your choice) and paste the configuration you just saved in the previous step. Review everything and click Create Link.
- Copy the Onetime Secret link and share it
with FUSE
Support.
